Rebekah Studer received her undergraduate degree from Roanoke College with a BA in psychology and an art minor. While studying there she was introduced to art therapy which combined her love of helping people and creating art. Rebekah graduated with a master's degree in art therapy in 2001 and began working in a community mental health center writing behavior plans for children that were intellectually disabled or had autism.
Rebekah has, since then, lived all around the United States and Canada, primarily working within the state hospital system providing art therapy to individuals in a group setting. Rebekah enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults and uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and art therapy as well as other evidence-based treatment modalities with her clients. She is very open-minded and has experience working with the LBGTQIA community.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, sculpting, camping, playing video games, and spending time with her family.
