About Rachel:
Rachel Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor at High Country Behavioral Health in Pocatello. In 2021, she received her bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University in Community and Public Health, with an emphasis in Addiction Studies. She went on to pursue her graduate education at Idaho State University, receiving a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. She has experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, self-esteem, career transitions and spiritual concerns.
Rachel prioritizes building a therapeutic relationship between client and counselor, recognizing that healing and change happen in safe, supportive spaces. She primarily utilizes an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework, integrating person-centered approaches and other evidence-based interventions based on her clients’ needs.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys playing piano and guitar, writing music, watching movies, and spending time with her partner and pets.
