About Jared:
Jared Bingham received his master’s degree in counseling from Idaho State University in 2003 and has been practicing in the field since that time. Jared is licensed to provide services in both Idaho and Wyoming. He is currently the Chief Operations Officer (COO) with High Country Behavioral Health.
Prior to working with HCBH, he was the Executive Director over a company in Idaho that specialized in providing drug court treatment to clients in Idaho’s 7th Judicial District. His counseling specialties are in addictions counseling and dialectical behavioral therapy. He has worked as an international trainer and consultant for the seven challenges model—an addiction counseling model for adolescents and adults. He was instrumental in bringing about the research for the adult version of that model.
After several years of work, Jared became certified in dialectical behavior therapy through the Linehan Board of Certification and has provided training in that model to many therapists. Most recently, Jared has received training and implementation experience in feedback informed therapy (FIT) and also went through a year-long program to learn how to add professional coaching with an emphasis on using the enneagram to his repertoire of skills.
As the COO he doesn’t see many clients but is dedicated to helping the employees within the agency to reach their full potential in their various roles.
When not at work, Jared enjoys running, reading, and learning more about topics within the psychology field and the enneagram, raising and caring for chickens and spending time with his wife and 5 children.
